The Jordanian National Institute for Forensic Medicine has approved to bury bodies of COVID-19 patients in normal cemeteries without additional construction guidelines, announced the Secretary General caretaker of the Institute, Omar al-Shurrafa, on Tuesday.
The bodies will be washed and shrouded while abiding by health and safety measures including wearing facemasks and social distancing.
The bodies of people who die from COVID-19 will no longer be buried in isolated cemeteries, but will be buried in normal cemeteries based on the family’s preferences.
