A total of 18 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Tafilah, announced the city's governor, Khaled al-Jbour, on Sunday.

The new cases were found to be infected with the virus after they came into contact with other positive cases, al-Jbour added.

Jordan has recorded 1,099 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all of which were local cases.
