The government has exempted truck drivers at al-Omari Border Crossing from quarantine fees, on Sunday.
The Minister of Transport, Khaled Saif, said drivers used to pay JD 10 for every day they spent at the quarantine area, noting that this decision came to make it easier for the drivers to adhere to quarantine.
He added the cost of quarantine at the border was distributed among the government and different authorities, noting that the caravans are fully equipped with everything the person needs.
Around 600 caravans are available for quarantine purposes at al-Omari Border Crossing, Saif added.
