All medical staff have been told that the UAE-Jordanian coronavirus vaccine is available and 150 volunteers are needed to take the vaccine, the Director of al-Bashir Hospital, Mahmoud Zureikat, told Roya on Tuesday evening.

Jordan should consider taking the UAE-Jordanian COVID-19 vaccine, Zureikat added.

Zureikat told the Directorate of Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health to provide the hospital with the names of people wishing to volunteer for taking the vaccination on Wednesday morning.

Zureikat said he would be the first to volunteer to take the vaccine on Wednesday morning.

The Emirati vaccine against COVID-19 is a joint venture between the UAE and Jordan, the Health Minister, Saad Jaber, said during a press conference on Monday.
