The Irbid Municipality has been implementing a tracking system across its fleet of vehicles to monitor speed.

This system will initially be implemented across the municipality’s 458 vehicles with the aim of determining whether drivers are remaining within the speed limit. It is the first time the system has been launched and the hope is it will reduce speed violations.

The municipality also hopes the tracking devices will ensure its vehicles are not used by employees for personal journeys.
