The Irbid Chamber of Commerce handed over today, Tuesday, the first shipment of food supplies to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in preparation for sending it to the Gaza Strip.

The shipment, prepared after collecting cash donations from business owners and residents of the city, included essential canned food items with long shelf life. It contributes to addressing some of the Gaza Strip's food needs in the face of the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the sector due to the continuous aggression by the Israeli Occupation.

The dispatched shipment marks the first one relying on cash donations. It follows three previous shipments containing in-kind donations, collected during the "Aid Gaza" campaign in Irbid about two months ago, which succeeded in gathering donations, according to the Irbid Chamber of Commerce.
