Jordan confirms 14 new COVID-19 cases, including a local case

Jordan has confirmed 14 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,164, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, announced today. 

During a press conference at the Prime Ministry building, Jaber said the cases are as follows:

- Three truck drivers, including a Jordanian citizen and two Arab nationals. 

- Two non-Jordanians at the Karameh Border Crossing. 

- Eight people quarantined at hotels used as quarantine sites, including five returnees from the UAE.

- A woman who contracted the virus from her infected husband receiving treatment at Prince Hamzah Hospital.  

A total of 5,508 random tests have been conducted today, the minister said. 

He indicated that the government launched an application named "For Your Health", which provides people with the latest news about the coronavirus, noting that people can be informed about everything related to the virus through this app.
