Jordan confirms 13 new coronavirus cases, including one in Amman

Jordan has confirmed 13 new coronavirus cases today for people coming from abroad, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 808, according to a statement issued by the government and the Ministry of Health.

The new cases are:

- Seven truck drivers, including six who were tested at the Al-Omari Border Crossing and one at the Jaber Border Crossing. One of them is Jordanian and the other six are of other nationalities. 

- Five Jordanian citizens who have recently returned from Pakistan and were quarantined in a hotel.

- A case in Amman and the epidemiological inspection teams are checking how the person contracted the virus.

According to the statement, 21 recovery cases were reported today, including 15 at Prince Hamzah Hospital and six at King Abdullah University Hospital.

A total of 4,223 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 222,128.
