Prime Minister Omar Razzaz will announce, in less than an hour from now, a new phase of the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which will entail easing the lockdown and reopening more economic sectors.

The new phase will be based on a matrix of measures related to the level of health risk, as Jordan is expected to move, with the start of implementation of the plan, to a good health risk level that allows the reopening of most sectors, reducing curfew hours and easing restrictions on public movement.

The Prime Minister will speak from the National Center for Security and Crisis Management at 13:00 local time.
