Jordan confirms 2 new coronavirus cases for people coming from abroad

Jordan has confirmed two new coronavirus cases today, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 757, according to a statement issued by the government and the Ministry of Health.

The new cases are:

- A Jordanian citizen who has recently returned from Russia.

- A non-Jordanian truck driver who was tested at the Al-Omari Border Crossing and was sent back to his home country. 

According to the statement, 12 recovery cases were reported today, including six at Prince Hamzah Hospital, two at King Abdullah University Hospital, and four at Queen Alia Military Hospital. 

A total of 5,495 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 20,4374.

The statement indicated that a comprehensive curfew will be imposed in the Kingdom this Friday, June 5. 

Since mosques will reopen this Friday, worshippers will be allowed to go to mosques to perform the Friday prayer on foot from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
