3, 500 people tested for COVID-19 in Ajloun since pandemic outbreak

The epidemiological inspection teams in Ajloun governorate, north of Jordan, conducted 3, 500 random COVID-19 tests since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

Health Affairs Director in Ajloun, Tayseer Annab stated on Saturday, May 16, that the teams continue will keep collecting random samples from citizens in all areas of the governorate, as they have so far collected 3, 500 samples and conducted tests via the"Rapid test" and PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction).

He added that the epidemiological inspection teams collected samples from shop owners, vegetable dealers, employees at banks, exchange companies and factories, citizens and truck drivers to ensure their safety, stressing the importance of adhering to health and preventive guidelines and practicing social distancing to maintain public safety and prevent the spread of the virus.

Since the pandemic outbreak, no coronavirus cases have been recorded in Ajloun, where the epidemiological situation is generally considered good.
