Five new isolation rooms have been prepared in Jerash Public Hospital for COVID-19 patients or people suspected of being infected with the virus.

The Director of the hospital, Dr. Sadiq Otoum, said today that the new additions are part of government measures to fight the spread of the virus, noting that 10 more isolation rooms might be set up.

Since the beginning of the crisis, 20 people in the governorate had been placed under quarantine after being suspected of infection, Otoum stated.

He pointed out that a crisis committee was formed to deal with the pandemic, adding that epidemiological inspection teams are collecting random samples from citizens in the governorate.
