Prime Minister Omar Razzaz has issued today the Defence Order No. 11 of 2020.
Following is the full text of the Defence Order (11) issued by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz:
"Issued in accordance with the Defence Law No. (13) of 1992
In line with the government’s tendency to gradually ease the curfew measures and allow the various productive, service, economic, and commercial sectors to resume their works and in order to compel business owners, citizens and residents to adhere to the utmost care and precaution, and follow the preventive measures and in order to minimize the practices that may cause the transmission of the coronavirus between people, I decide to issue the following defence order:
First: 1- Every person must adhere to the established social distances and commit to wearing face masks wearing gloves before entering public places, including ministries, government departments, official and public institutions or places where services are provided directly to people, including companies, institutions, enterprises, shopping malls, shops, medical clinics and health centers.
2- Health service providers and service providers in the places referred to in paragraph (1) of this clause, those working with them and those working in delivery services are obligated to wear face masks and gloves, otherwise, they won't be able to enter these places.
Second: 1- Anyone who violates the provisions of paragraph (1) of the first item shall be punished with a fine of no less than JD20 and not more than JD50.
2- Anyone who violates the provisions of Paragraph (2) of the first item shall be penalized with a fine of no less than JD100 and not exceeding JD200) and the institution where the violation was reported will be closed for a period of 14 days.
3- The application of the punishment mentioned in this clause does not preclude the application of any more severe punishment stipulated in any other legislation.
Third: No prosecution shall be pursued against any of the persons mentioned in clause (1) if he pays the minimum amount of the fine within a week from the date of the violation.
Fourth: The Minister of Health is authorized to set the date on which this defence order will take effect and issue the necessary instructions for its implementation."
