Hairdressing salons for men, beauty salons, laundries, accessories and cosmetics shops, watch and shoe repair shops, as well as the financial auditors, tax and accounting consulting and financial managers sectors will be allowed to resume their work, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tareq Hammouri announced today.

During a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Hammouri stated that the Ministry will keep monitoring markets and receive complaints from citizens until 6 pm.

"11 establishments were closed today, as they were not bound by the price ceilings set by the Ministry, Hammouri stated.

He added that the Ministry has contacted major merchants to ensure the continued supply of basic commodities more intensively after monitoring price rises during the past two days.

He hoped that all restrictive measures will be eased in the coming days, stressing that the Ministry reviews the strict measures on daily basis to take decisions to ease them.
