The Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh has confirmed that the curfew measures currently applied will remain in place during the holy month of Ramadan.

During a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Adaileh said that citizens will be allowed to get their basic needs during Ramadan from 10 am to 6 pm.

He stated that the iftar banquets and gatherings during the holy month are not permitted.

Adaileh confirmed that a full curfew will be imposed in the Kingdom this Friday.

The working hours of the employees who are authorized to work will be from 10 am to 3 pm during Ramadan. However, employees whose work nature requires otherwise have to arrange their working hours with their managers.

With regard to commercial and industrial establishments, Adaileh indicated that they were allowed to resume their work as of today, stressing that permits will be granted only to establishments registered with the Social Security Corporation (SSC), as well as their employees through the approved online platform.

"Owners of the establishments are allowed to apply to include Jordanian and non-Jordanian workers in social security, directly, and without the need to go to the SSC's branches. The number of registered establishments during the past two hours reached 600," Adaileh said. 

As for the unregistered establishments, or in which unregistered employees work, the SSC launched hours ago, a service to enable the owners of these establishments to register online, via the official website of the SSC, with simple and announced steps. "We confirm that the owners of the facilities are not obligated to pay any financial amounts for registration or employee subscription during the current and next month.

Regarding the five villages that were completely isolated in Irbid governorate, Adaileh said that there will be a decision to ease the curfew measures in these villages, with an emphasis on keeping the Irbid governorate completely closed.
