The King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba is undergoing maintenance operations in anticipation of potential return of flights after the government eased lockdown measures prompted by the COVID-19 crisis in the southern governorate.

The General Manager of the Aqaba Airports Company (AAC), Nasser Majali, said today the move is intended to prepare the airport and its facilities for any future reopening.

He added that the passenger terminal was sterilized in cooperation with the Royal Engineering Corps.
