The Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, was briefed on security, preventive and curative measures at the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) provided by security and medical services when passengers arrive in the Kingdom to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

During a tour at the airport on Saturday, February 29, the minister said the medical team is prepared to take strict medical examination procedures and monitor all arrivals.

He announced confirmed that all medical capabilities are available at the airport, including medical supplies, examinations and masks for the medical staff.

If anyone suffered high temperatures or was suspected of having the virus, the medical team will immediately implement procedures and transfer him to the isolation hospital designated for that directly under conditions that take into account prevent him of any contact with any of the cadres or his relatives, the minister added.

With regard to the transit passengers at the airport, Jaber said they will be put in a suitable isolation area on the airport campus, taking into account the conditions of residence and services provided to them until they leave the country.
