Two security personnel were injured on late Tuesday, December 10, 2019, after being attacked by an armed man, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.

"Upon receiving a report about a kidnapping attempt in Ain al-Basha district of Balqa governorate, a police patrol immediately moved to the scene, where one person began shooting, hitting two of the police officers," according to a statement issued by the Public Security Directorate(PSD).

The shooter, identified to be wanted with five criminal records, was arrested on Wednesday, December 11, and investigations are underway.
