Palestinian police forces were observed in various areas across the Gaza Strip Thursday, despite intense clashes between the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in several southern and northern regions of the Strip.

According to social media posts, hundreds of Palestinian police officers were seen in the Fallujah area of Jabalia town and throughout Gaza, Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis and Rafah.

Activists reported that the police deployment was a precautionary measure in anticipation of any potential security breaches resulting from the ongoing war in Gaza.

They emphasized that the police officers did not leave the cities of the Gaza Strip, but their noticeable presence stood out amidst the current conditions prevailing in the territory.
