The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has warned citizens of the danger of slippery roads today as rainfall is in the forecast in conjunction with unstable weather conditions that the Kingdom is expected to witness in the coming couple of days.

It also warned of the risk of the formation of flashfloods in the valleys and lowlands and the risk of low visibility due to dust, especially in the desert areas.

The JMD said that as of Monday, the Kingdom will be affected by atmospheric instability, accompanied by a slight rise in temperatures and rain at noon across the Kingdom, including the city of Aqaba.

Rain is predicted to be heavy at times and be accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms, which may lead to the formation of floods in the valleys and lowlands.

Southeasterly moderate speed winds are in the forecast, causing dust to rise especially in the Badia regions.
