About 3658 citizens have received their Hajj permits so far, spokesman for the Ministry of Awqaf Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Hussam Hyari said in a press statement on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Hyari stated that the number of those who have completed registration procedures through the online portal reached 3014, while the number of those who have chosen the hajj programs and the Hajj services companies reached 2936, stressing that handing over Hajj permits is due on Sunday, May 19, 2019.

The Ministry of Awqaf and through the Hajj and Umrah Department enabled this year the Jordanian pilgrims to complete all the procedures of pilgrimage through an online website.

Within only five minutes, citizens can complete all the Hajj procedures and choose the program they want, the Hajj services company and the e-payment without visiting the Ministry or the Hajj Directorate.

This step is a paradigm shift to facilitate the process for pilgrims and for the Hajj and Umrah companies. In addition, it is considered an advanced step into providing integrated online and digital services.

Through the online website, the citizen receives an online contract that preserves his rights once the registration process is completed.

If a pilgrim does not want to register through the website, he can visit one of the Hajj and Umrah services companies, which in turn will complete the procedures online instead of him.
