The Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the Jordan Valley Authority warned citizens and farmers in Wadi Al Wala, Al-Aghwar, Abu Al-Zighan and Deir Alla that it will begin gradually leaking water out from the King Talal Dam, as well as the Wala Dam, through irrigation water lines for the purpose of cleaning after the flow of large quantities of water due to the heavy rains.

To media spokesman of the ministry, Omar Salama, appealed to citizens and farmers to take all necessary measures in order to deal with the water flow through the valleys below the area of Seddine.

He stressed the need to stay away from the valleys, stressing that the technicians and specialists involved are closely monitoring the situation and are coordinating with all concerned parties to start leaking the dams.

He pointed out that the mechanisms and cadres of the Jordan Valley Authority recently completed the cleaning of the course of some valleys to prevent the recurrence of damage to agricultural farms again, especially in the areas from Abu Zighan to the Jordan River.
