Jordan Water Company 'Miyahuna' called on its customers in Amman, Zarqa and Madaba to insulate exposed water meters in homes and properties in anticipation of frost in the coming days.

The company said in a press statement that citizens will bear the cost of replacing damaged water meters, adding that failing to protect the meters, especially in cold weather conditions, can damage them and cause the interruption of water flow to customers.

The statement stressed the importance of following measures to protect meters from freezing and exposure to frost with a piece of rock wool or a piece of cloth or any insulating material.
