The Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs, Government Spokesperson, Jumana Ghunaimat, said on Saturday, September 29, 2018, that the Nasib Border Crossing is still closed and has not yet opened for the movement of cargo or passengers.
Ghunaimat added in a press statement that Jordan and Syria continue to study the opening of the border in regard of Custom Centers. A the meetings continue, the requirements of infrastructure and logistical standards must be achieved before the borders can be opened, she added.
Earlier today, the Syrian Transport Ministry announced the reopening of the Nasib Border Crossing between Syria and Jordan and the commencement of truck traffic and transit through the Syrian-Jordanian border.
