Occupation releases Grand Mufti of Jerusalem

Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammed Ahmad Hussein, has confirmed his release from Israeli custody according to reports from The New Arab.

Hussein, Jerusalem’s top Islamic cleric, had been detained early Friday after a clash between Palestinians and Israelis at Al Aqsa Mosque, leaving two Israeli officers dead. He was questioned over his calls to Muslims to go to Jerusalem.
