Following a period of significant rainfall in early 2026, Wadi Al-Wala region in Madaba has transformed into a lush, water-rich sanctuary. Recent storms have replenished the Al-Wala Dam, pushing water levels to peak capacity and reactivating the area's iconic seasonal waterfalls. The springs, which feed into the broader Mujib basin, are currently creating a rare "winter oasis" effect. Locals and visitors have been drawn to the site to witness the powerful flow of freshwater carving through the limestone cliffs, a stark and beautiful contrast to the region's typical arid landscape.
