Following the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care unit nurse and U.S. citizen, Minneapolis city leaders are demanding an end to aggressive federal immigration operations.

The first video captures a community vigil held on Saturday, January 24, where residents gathered in the snow to honor Pretti, a dedicated VA hospital nurse who colleagues describe as a "kindhearted soul". Tensions escalated as federal officers from the Bureau of Prisons and Border Patrol monitored the memorial, leading to verbal confrontations with mourners.

The second video features a joint press conference where Mayor Jacob Frey and Police Chief Brian O’Hara addressed the incident. Chief O'Hara confirmed that Pretti was a lawful gun owner with no criminal record, while Mayor Frey delivered a blistering condemnation of the federal "invasion" of city streets.
