This is the first time Jordan activates air raid sirens since the onset of coronvirus' nationwide curfew.
Moments after the sirens were heard, a military source revealed that Royal Jordanian Air Force jets and air defense systems intercepted several missiles and drones that had entered Jordanian airspace.
The interceptions were carried out in response to military assessments indicating a high probability that the projectiles would fall on Jordanian territory, including populated areas, posing a significant threat to civilian lives and property.
