Iran has denied involvement in the war in Yemen after the Iran-backed Houthi movement seized more territory.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Tehran does not interfere in Yemeni affairs.

He also addressed the blocking of Iran’s nuclear chief from attending the UN nuclear agency’s annual conference in Vienna.

Yemen’s Houthis say they launched dozens of drones and ballistic missiles at military targets in Saudi Arabia.

The group described the attacks as retaliation for Saudi airstrikes and warned of broader operations if further attacks occur.

A new displacement camp in Ras Imran, southwest of Aden, has begun receiving people fleeing western Yemen following Houthi control of several key Red Sea coastal cities.

The first tents have been erected as the first group of displaced people arrives at the camp.

Protests are spreading across Syria after the government sharply increased fuel prices.

Diesel prices rose by 40%, while gasoline increased by around 26–28%. Demonstrators have blocked roads and burned tires in several cities, including Maarrat al-Numan, Khan Shaykhun, Azaz, Idlib and Hama.

The government says the increases are temporary, citing global energy prices and the shutdown of the Banias refinery for maintenance.
