US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden lay flowers as they pay their respects to the victims of a New Year's truck-ramming attack at a makeshift memorial in Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. The president and first lady later attended a memorial service at the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis, King of France, for the victims of the attack.
"I know events like this are hard, and the shock and pain is still so very raw. My wife, Jill, and I are here to stand with you," Biden says.
