Thousands of people marched through central Barcelona on Spain's National Day to protest the government's handling of the migrant crisis in Ceuta.

Protester Maricarmen Ramos said the Spanish territory had been seriously neglected.

More than 70,000 people entered Ceuta from neighbouring Morocco on July 30 and 31, with dozens dying during the journey.

While most returned to Morocco within days, thousands remained in Ceuta, sleeping on streets and beaches and placing pressure on the city's limited resources.
