Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has announced plans to ban burqas and niqabs in schools and introduce a legal limit on the number of foreign students in each class.

Meloni also said the government plans to require Italian-language lessons for parents of foreign students facing serious integration difficulties.

The proposals still need to go through Italy’s legislative process before becoming law.

A massive forest fire is burning near the popular Colombian tourist town of Villa de Leyva, with flames visible from the town’s central square.

Villa de Leyva is known for its colonial architecture and cobblestone streets and attracts more than one million tourists each year.

The fire is burning in the surrounding Andean region.

Medical teams initially treated the man in critical condition before evacuating him by helicopter, but he later died from his wounds.

A wildfire is raging near the Colombian tourist town of Villa de Leyva, with flames engulfing the hillside around the colonial town.

Colombian authorities say the blaze has destroyed around 40 hectares of forest on San Marcos Hill.

The fire is burning about three hours from Bogotá.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree says the group carried out two operations targeting sites in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh and Aramco facilities in Yanbu.

Saree said the attacks involved ballistic and cruise missiles and drones, and claimed they caused large fires at the targeted sites. He described the attacks as retaliation for what he called continued Saudi airstrikes against Yemen.
