The Democratic Republic of Congo has received its first shipment of Ebola vaccines as authorities intensify efforts to contain the country’s rapidly escalating outbreak.

The first batch includes 16,520 doses of the vaccine, with more doses expected. The vaccine is being used for frontline and healthcare workers, while a clinical trial will assess its effectiveness against the Bundibugyo strain behind the current outbreak.
