A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Akron-Canton Airport after the aircraft’s landing gear failed.

This footage captured by Michael H Grossman shows the pilot successfully landing the plane even though its front landing gear did not descend.

Speaking to Storyful, Grossman said the aircraft had been “circling for over an hour, and after all efforts to fix the problem were unsuccessful, a landing with no nose gear was initiated.”

“The aircraft crew did an outstanding job,” Grossman said.

He concluded by saying how not all aircraft emergencies have a “happy ending.”

According to local media citing officials, the plane was a NetJets Cessna Citation aircraft, Flight EJA803. It was arriving from Washington Dulles International Airport when it was forced to make the emergency landing.

No injuries were reported, but the rough landing resulted in damage to the aircraft’s front nose and underside, the Akron Beacon Journal said.
