Footage released by North Korean state media shows leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday attending a commissioning ceremony in the port city of Nampo of the Choe Hyon, one of two 5,000-tonne class warships launched last year.

During the event, Kim reportedly announced plans to equip North Korea's navy with nuclear weapons and build larger warships as Pyongyang pushes ahead with a military expansion.
