Passengers aboard the MV Hondius disembarked in Tenerife on May 10 after the vessel arrived in Spain following a reported hantavirus outbreak.

The World Health Organization confirmed that its experts are working with Spain’s health authorities to assess passengers and coordinate medical monitoring and transport.

Spain’s health ministry said 14 Spanish nationals will undergo quarantine at a military medical facility as health authorities continue monitoring the situation.
