Pakistan has condemned ‘Israel’ for keeping the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem closed during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, calling the move "extremely deplorable."
‘Israel’ has shut all holy sites in east Jerusalem's Old City for security reasons after it began airstrikes with the US against Iran.
"This is a very disturbing development, particularly since it's taking place in the last Ashra of this holy month," said Tahir Andrabi, a spokesman for Pakistan's foreign ministry.
