- This comes amid repeated pro-Palestine rallies in Berlin and other parts of Germany.
A video captured by photojournalist Ryad Aref on Thursday shows women raising Palestinian keffiyehs from a balcony in Berlin as a pro-Palestine demonstration passes through the streets below.
The women can be seen holding up the traditional Palestinian scarves, a widely recognised symbol of Palestinian identity and solidarity, in a gesture of support for demonstrators marching in the German capital.
This comes amid continued pro-Palestinian mobilisations across Germany, where thousands have taken to the streets to demand an end to the violence in Gaza and express solidarity with Palestinians. On Oct. 10, around 3,500 people joined the United4Palestine march through Berlin's government district, according to police, while organisers put the turnout at 20,000.
Similar demonstrations were also held in Hanover and Berlin on Oct. 25, with participants waving Palestinian flags and calling for an end to attacks on Gaza and escalating violence in the occupied West Bank.
