  • The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) characterized the circulating claims across media and social platforms as a deliberate campaign intended to manipulate public opinion
  • Turkish authorities urged international observers and the public not to lend credibility to unverified reports.
  • The denial follows allegations raised in 'Israeli' political circles regarding suspected foreign funding influencing election outcomes and Arab voter turnout.

Turkey on Thursday denied reports alleging that it interfered in 'Israel’s' latest parliamentary elections, describing the accusations as completely unfounded and part of an organized effort to mislead public perception.

In a statement released by the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM), an official unit operating under the Turkish Presidency of Communications, authorities addressed claims that have surfaced across international news outlets and social media channels.

"Claims circulating in certain international media outlets and on social media platforms alleging that Turkey has interfered in Israel's elections' are entirely baseless," the DMM said.

The communications body further stated that the narrative was manufactured to shape public opinion amid post-election developments, cautioning the public against accepting unproven reports.

"These allegations are part of a deliberate and blatant disinformation campaign aimed at manipulating public opinion," the statement continued. "We urge the public not to give credence to these false reports and allegations intended to mislead."

The response comes amid allegations of 'Israeli' right-wing political figures and affiliated media commentaries have alleged that foreign states funded voter mobilization drives, specifically among the Arab electorate.

Similar allegations regarding foreign interference have also been directed toward Qatar, drawing comparable categorical rejections from officials in Doha, while 'Israel’s' Central Elections Committee has maintained that the legislative vote was conducted lawfully and found no factual evidence of systematic interference or election tampering.
