  • The 13-track release features Del Naja compositions, a Kneecap remix, and contributions from Paul Weller, David Holmes, 47Soul, and others.
  • All vinyl sales profits will go directly to the Health Workers 4 Palestine solidarity fund, with streaming also available.
  • Directed by Daniele Rugo and narrated by Denise Gough, Life Support follows medics navigating extreme shortages and strikes in Gaza over two years.
  • The project follows Del Naja's repeated arrests over pro-Palestine demonstrations, coming ahead of Massive Attack's 2027 reunion plans.

Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack has co-curated the soundtrack for the new Gaza documentary Life Support, contributing three original compositions to the project, which was officially released on Wednesday.

Working under his 3D moniker alongside the film’s producers, Del Naja co-curated the 13-track album. His direct musical contributions include the newly composed pieces “Explosives of the Future,” “Perfect Victims,” and “House of Healing,” as well as a remix of Irish hip-hop group Kneecap’s track “Palestine” featuring Fwazi.

The record also features compositions by Habib Shehada Hanna, a collaborative track from The Five Techniques featuring Paul Weller, David Holmes, and Róisín El Cherif, as well as contributions from Yasmine Hamda, 47Soul, Monkyman, Aar Maanta (Hassan Nour), and Massar Egbari.

The soundtrack is currently available for streaming, and a physical vinyl edition has been released with all proceeds designated for the Health Workers 4 Palestine solidarity fund.

The documentary itself, directed by Daniele Rugo and narrated by Andor actress Denise Gough, is currently streaming on demand. It chronicles the experiences of a medical team working in the Gaza Strip over a two-year period.

According to the film's official logline: “Covering the entire two years of the genocide, their first-hand accounts and visceral footage offer a rare and vital chronicle of the daily struggles of healthcare workers as they navigate bombed-out hospitals, dwindling supplies, starvation and the overwhelming influx of casualties — predominantly women and children.”

Reflecting on his participation, Del Naja said in an official statement: “Given the magnitude and rawness of Life Support, it was humbling to be asked to compose work that could in some way enhance a second-hand experience of living the devastating realities for volunteer medics and Gazan civilians. We hope the range of compositions go some way to travelling the emotional quagmire – but also elevating the astounding human spirit and resilience displayed by the subjects of this film.”

The album release follows Del Naja's recent arrest in Liverpool during a pro-Palestinian demonstration held outside the UK Labour Party conference.

The artist was previously arrested for a similar pro-Palestinian protest in April.

Del Naja is slated to reunite with bandmate Grant Marshall (Daddy G) for a Massive Attack performance at Primavera Sound 2027, following the cancellation of their scheduled 2026 festival set due to severe weather conditions.
