  • Trump stood alongside former heavy-and-light-heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield
  • Prior to ending the exchange, Trump discussed the release of American prisoner Stephen Hubbard, negotiations regarding Russia and Ukraine, and economic pressure on Iran

US President Donald Trump briefly halted an exchange with reporters on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday, asking a member of the press pool to direct a bright camera light away from his eyes.

Standing beside former world boxing champion Evander Holyfield following a rally, Trump was responding to questions about foreign policy and prisoner exchanges when he addressed a female reporter asking a question.

Interrupting the exchange mid-sentence, Trump gestured toward the lighting equipment and said, "Why don't you take that light out of my face?"

The reporter promptly apologized, and Trump continued taking questions regarding ongoing international developments.

Holyfield’s appearance alongside Trump on Air Force One and on the tarmac marks the latest in a series of high-profile appearances by boxing figures during the current campaign cycle.

Just weeks earlier, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson joined Trump at the White House press briefing room and subsequently appeared on stage at a campaign rally in Syracuse, New York.
