In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Safadi checked on the health of the two citizens from the medical teams at the two hospitals where they are receiving treatment and thanked the hospital staff for their care.
The statement further highlighted Safadi's meeting with his Saudi counterpart prior to visiting the facility: "Safadi had thanked His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during his meeting with him shortly before visiting the two patients, for the care provided by Saudi authorities to the two citizens and to the four other Jordanian citizens who were injured in the attack on the airport and received treatment and left the hospitals."
The Oct. 10 attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh formed part of a broader escalation of Houthi missile and drone strikes targeting key aviation and infrastructure facilities across Saudi Arabia.
The strike on the capital's primary airport resulted in multiple casualties, structural damage, and widespread flight cancellations and suspensions across Saudi commercial airports.
Among those injured were six Jordanian nationals; four were treated and subsequently discharged, while two remain hospitalized in Riyadh receiving continued medical care.
In the attacks, one Jordanian national was killed and four others were injured.
