'Israeli' Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir held a situational assessment and operational briefing at Central Command on Wednesday, claiming that the military has reinforced its forces and deployed the 98th Division to the West Bank allegedly to strengthen security and stability in the area.

According to the 'Israeli' military statement, the meeting brought together Commander of Central Command MG Avi Bluth, Commander of the West Bank Division BG Kobi Heller, Commander of the 98th Division BG Meni Liberty, and Commander of the 96th Division BG Oren Simcha.

Brigade and battalion commanders from Central Command, alongside officials from the Shin Bet (ISA) and the 'Israel' Border Police in the West Bank, were also in attendance.

During the visit, commanders conducted a field tour in the area of the West Bank Brigade to review operational challenges and division missions, after which Zamir approved plans for continued military activity while emphasizing the alleged importance of thwarting what they called "terrorist activity".

Alleged multi-front readiness

In remarks released by the military, Zamir claimed that "in light of the increased number of alerts across all fronts and the sensitivity of this period, the potential for escalation has grown."

He alleged that troops have been reinforced and readiness raised to prepare for potential surprise scenarios, asserting: "During this sensitive period, we must maintain vigilance and multi-front readiness, preserve our freedom of operation, and swiftly thwart threats."

He further claimed that the military maintains a high level of readiness to launch extensive offensive operations against anyone who attempts to allegedly harm 'Israeli' civilians.

Commenting on internal conduct and the ongoing agricultural season, Zamir claimed that "attacks and violence against innocent people do not reflect Israeli or Jewish values" and alleged that such acts must be condemned and eradicated using all means available to 'Israel'.

He asserted that the military will continue operating to enable the olive harvest to proceed while claiming to maintain public order and ensure safety for all populations in the area.

Zamir also referenced the passage of time since past military campaigns, claiming that "these days, we mark one year since Operation ‘Returning Home’."

He alleged that throughout the war, the mission of bringing home captives -both living and deceased- served as the guiding principle behind military actions, claiming the 98th Division played a significant role in those operations before concluding with expressions of appreciation for the troops and commanders involved.
