The body of an 'Israeli' hiker who went missing on Greece's Mount Olympus more than two weeks ago has been found, Greek and 'Israeli' media reported on Friday.

Ami Yogev, 46, was last heard from on Sept. 20, when he contacted his mother while climbing Greece's highest mountain.

His body was found in the Mavrolakkos area, at an altitude of about 1,800 metres, in terrain that was difficult to access, according to the reports.

A group of private 'Israeli' searchers found the body while searching alongside firefighters, 'Israeli' media reported.

Two disaster response units and a team of firefighters from the nearby town of Litochoro retrieved the body.
