The internationally recognized government of Yemen has officially called on the United Nations Security Council to condemn a Houthi missile and drone strike targeting Aden International Airport and to hold the perpetrators accountable.
According to official Yemeni statements, the assault was carried out using two ballistic missiles alongside explosive-laden drones.
Authorities emphasized that the strike directly endangered the lives of passengers, airport employees, and civilian personnel on site.
In its appeal, the Yemeni government issued a warning regarding the escalating risks posed by continued Houthi attacks on critical transport infrastructure, stressing that such strikes endanger the safety of civil aviation as well as international air and maritime navigation.
