  • The deaths left no surviving members of the family and added them to families reported to have been completely wiped from Gaza’s civil registry.

A Palestinian family in Gaza has been wiped off civil registries after the last surviving member, Mohammad Akram Anan, died Saturday of wounds sustained from an ‘Israeli’ airstrike on his dwelling near Al-Shifa Hospital, Palestinian sources said.

Anan died three days after the strike. His wife, Iman Abdel Aal, who was pregnant, died two days earlier alongside the couple’s unborn child. No members of the couple's immediate family survived.

The Anan family joins 2,700 other Palestinian families in Gaza that have been killed in their entirety. Such families are removed from the civil registry as households with no surviving members.
