  • The attack took place under the protection of ‘Israeli’ forces, according to Roya News’ correspondent.
  • ‘Israeli’ forces detained several Palestinians and forced farmers to stop harvesting and leave their land.
  • Armed settlers also attacked the nearby village of Osrin, damaging property and assaulting residents.

Groups of settlers attacked Palestinian residents and farmers harvesting olives in their fields in the Jabal Qamas area of Beita, south of Nablus, the Roya News Palestine Correspondent reported Saturday.

The attack took place with the support and protection of ‘Israeli’ forces.

According to the report, ‘Israeli’ forces detained several Palestinian residents and farmers after forcing them to stop harvesting and leave their agricultural land.

Armed settlers also attacked the nearby village of Osrin, targeting residents, damaging property and assaulting people.

The incidents come as the annual olive harvest is underway, with ‘Israeli’ forces maintaining a heavy presence around Palestinian villages and towns in the area.

‘Israeli’ attacks on Palestinian farmers

‘Israeli’ forces and settlers have increasingly targeted Palestinian olive groves and farmers as the annual harvest gets underway across the West Bank. In September, ‘Israeli’ military bulldozers uprooted olive trees on Palestinian-owned land near Ramallah, destroying nearly 9 acres of olive groves just days before the harvest.

The United Nations has also documented the impact of such attacks on olive farming. During the 2025 harvest, OCHA recorded 178 settler attacks between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 that caused casualties or property damage, including assaults on farmers, theft of crops and equipment, and damage to olive trees and saplings.
