Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is expected to meet with mediators in New York on Monday to discuss the latest proposals and position, Iranian news agency ISNA reported.

Araghchi will attend the meeting alongside the Iranian delegation, with discussions expected to focus on the latest proposals and the conditions for advancing diplomatic efforts.

No US representative is expected to attend the meeting, according to ISNA.

Talks focus on Hormuz, ceasefire

The meeting comes as Qatar and other regional mediators continue efforts to bridge differences between Washington and Tehran.

US and Iranian officials have held indirect discussions in New York through mediators in recent days.

Iran has proposed a seven-day roadmap that would involve reopening the Strait of Hormuz and resuming negotiations aimed at ending the conflict. Tehran has linked the proposal to conditions including an end to the US naval blockade, sanctions relief and a broader halt to hostilities.

Araghchi said Sunday that Iran was still awaiting Washington's final position through mediators after US President Donald Trump rejected Tehran's latest proposal.

Trump has nevertheless said he expects further talks with Iran this week, while US officials have indicated that indirect discussions through mediators are continuing.
