Iranian media reported Thursday that the United Arab Emirates had barred flights operated by Iranian airlines, in compliance with US sanctions.
"All flights by Iranian airlines to the United Arab Emirates have been cancelled since midnight," the ISNA news agency said.
AFP reports that a traveler told the outlet that an Iran Airtour service from Tehran to Dubai was called off just before takeoff that morning, even though passengers had already been ticketed.
