  • In a Sunday statement, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the attacks a violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and international law.

Qatar has issued a strong condemnation Sunday of a Houthi ballistic missile attack aimed at the Saudi capital, Riyadh, along with attempts to hit civilians and civilian facilities in Bish, Taif, Farasan and Yanbu.

In a statement released on Sunday, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the attacks were a breach of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and a violation of international law.

The ministry restated Qatar's firm rejection of any targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and urged that such acts stop immediately.

“The Ministry underlines the State of Qatar’s vehement rejection of assaults on civilians and civilian assets, underscoring the importance of halting these irresponsible actions immediately.”

Doha also expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom. The statement stressed that Saudi Arabia's security is an inseparable part of Qatar's own security, and of the collective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The latest condemnation follows a string of Houthi attacks on Saudi territory in recent days, each of which Qatar has denounced.
